Dream Porridge

A classic so basic that it has its trick. Once you get it, its variants are endless. You may cut any fruit in season, raw or fried with honey. Add a good spoonful over the oatmeal. Break up some chocolate and you’ve got a wonder that is to die for.
Sprinkle berries with a little sugar and lemon juice, break a few up with a fork, and stir them into the porridge. You can lightly toast some sunflower, sesame and poppy seeds, crush them in a mortar with a pinch of ground cinnamon, mix them with some chopped dried fruit, al porridge! Or simply add a little yogurt and honey. Delicious. Its variants are endless!

Do not rush preparing this breakfast, it requires tranquility.
Breathe calm when stirring the ingredients over low heat and letting it thicken, without being completely compact. Then it is important to wait a few minutes so that the cold of the bowl slightly cools the oats. From the outside in, so it’s still soft and silky and runny in the center, but almost firm and jellied around the edges.

Ingredients:

PORRIDGE
2 tbsp brown oats, full grain
2 tbsp puffed rice
2 tbsp puffed oats, toasted
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tbsp beer yeast
1 tbsp raw honey
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp cardamom
Glass of oats milk
Pinch of salt

GRANOLA
100gr chopped nuts
3 tbsp coconut sugar
2 tbsp coconut syrup
3 tbsp cacao powder, 100%
2 tbsp cacao nibs
50ml coconut oil

NUTELLA
200gr toasted hazelnuts
30gr pure cacao
200gr medjoul dates
1 tbsp coconut oil
150ml oats milk
1 vanilla bean

HOW TO MAKE IT?

Start with the granola. Preheat the oven at 175º. Prepare a baking tray with baking paper. Combine the chopped nuts with the coconut sugar, cacao nibs and 100% cacao powder, whisk together until nuts are brown. Add the coconut oil the coconut syrup and whisk all the ingredients until well combined. Place the mixture over the tray, spreading evenly.

Bake 10 minutes until your kitchen starts to smell like delicious chocolate.
Let it cool down for 10 minutes more and store it in the freezer until the moment to be enjoyed..

Continue with the Nutella. Toast the hazelnuts and peel them. Add all the ingredients to a powerful blender and blend until getting a soft delicious spread. Maybe you will need some help, just add an extra splash of milk and go on. . Blend the ingredients together, until you get a silky smooth chocolate cream

End with the porridge. Place the oats together and the other ingredients in oats milk, in a large saucepan over low/medium heat. Add a small pinch of sea salt and stir with a wooden spoon. Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring often, to get a smooth and creamy porridge. Plus, don’t let it bubbly boil. If you like your porridge runnier, just add a little more milk until it’s the consistency you like.
